A study in line, tension, and restraint.
For The Kashmir Chromosome, Oiendrila stripped the space down to its essentials - working with black-and-white imagery and a single, loaded material. Barbed wire runs through the exhibition as both structure and metaphor, tracing the walls in continuous, unsettled lines.
It does not sit quietly. It interrupts, connects, and directs movement.
The photographs - 25 narratives of life in Kashmir - are presented with clarity, allowing their weight to register without distraction. The spatial language remains minimal, but deliberate, creating a rhythm between image and material.
There is no attempt to soften the subject.
Only to frame it with visual intention.
